Subak is the name of water irrigation system for paddy fields in Bali. This system is very famous in foreign countries because own the similar irrigating system like Fai in Thailand and Zangera in Philipine with the chasm and its specification do not like Subak which is existing in Bali. Subak is wet farm farmer organization to get the water irrigation fro the sources. Ulun Danu Temple is the water's source of irrigation system system in Bali located in Beratan lake of Bedugul, a plateau of North Bali. Was built in 1633 by king of the Royal Mengwi, Dewi Danu (the Goddess of water) were worshiped by all farmers to asking for the prosperity. From this point the irrigation flowing to all area farm/ rice fields in Bali.
Subak Museum which located in Sangulan village of Tabanan regency built in 1979 to expecting to preserve as a local culture asset which have meritorious in developing and improving agricultural rice field production and traditional irrigation system.
